Create and Manage Campaigns

How to Create and Manage Campaigns

Campaigns are the main part of Campaign Builder / Sky Campaigns.

A campaign controls the popup or inline signup form, its design, display rules, trigger settings, and subscriber collection.

Create a New Campaign

To create a campaign:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Go to Campaigns > Campaigns.
  3. Click New Campaign.
  4. Enter the campaign details.
  5. Choose the template and settings you want to use.
  6. Save the campaign.

Campaign Details

When creating or editing a campaign, you can configure:

  • Campaign Name
This is the internal name of the campaign.
  • Status
This controls whether the campaign is active or inactive.
  • Description
This is an optional internal description for your own reference.

Active and Inactive Campaigns

Only active campaigns display on the frontend.

If a campaign is inactive, it will not appear to visitors even if the display rules and triggers are configured correctly.

Activate or Deactivate a Campaign

You can activate or deactivate a campaign in two ways.

Option 1: From the Campaign Editor

  1. Open the campaign.
  2. Find the status setting.
  3. Set the campaign to active or inactive.
  4. Save the campaign.

Option 2: From the Campaign List

The Campaigns list includes a status toggle for each campaign.

Use this toggle to quickly activate or deactivate a campaign without opening the full campaign editor.

What to Configure in a Campaign

A campaign can include:

  • Campaign name.
  • Active or inactive status.
  • Internal description.
  • Popup template.
  • Headline.
  • Sub-headline.
  • Button text.
  • Colors.
  • Image URL.
  • First name field setting.
  • Optional note.
  • Privacy or terms agreement checkbox.
  • Display rules.
  • Popup trigger.
  • Pro frequency settings, if using Pro.

Before Publishing a Campaign

Before setting a campaign live, check the following:

  • The campaign status is active.
  • The template is selected.
  • The headline and button text are correct.
  • Display rules are set correctly.
  • The trigger is configured.
  • Any privacy or terms checkbox is set up correctly.
  • Pro frequency or scheduling rules are correct, if used.

Why a Campaign May Not Show

If a campaign does not appear on the frontend, check:

  • The campaign is active.
  • Display rules match the page you are viewing.
  • Trigger conditions are met.
  • Pro frequency rules are not preventing display.
  • Pro scheduling is active, if scheduling is enabled.
  • The visitor has not already subscribed, if hide-after-subscribe is enabled.
