📖 Adding Images, GIFs, Videos, and iFrames in your KB Articles

Note: The advanced Image, GIF, Video, and iFrame embedding options described below are available only in the Premium version of Instant Knowledge Base.

Free users can still:

  • Upload images using the default WordPress editor.
  • Add videos by pasting a YouTube/Vimeo link directly into the editor.
    Premium users get additional media tools and the Image Lightbox feature for images and GIFs added through these Pro options.

With Instant Knowledge Base Premium, you can insert images, GIFs, videos, and iFrames directly into your articles with enhanced styling and functionality. This helps you create visually rich, interactive, and more engaging documentation for your readers.

Premium Media Features

  • Image & GIF Lightbox — Clickable fullscreen preview with navigation and keyboard support for images and GIFs added via the Pro tools.
  • Responsive Video Embeds — Add YouTube, Vimeo, or self-hosted videos with adjustable dimensions.
  • iFrame Embedding — Insert external web content, forms, or interactive widgets directly into your article.

Adding Images and GIFs (Premium)

  1. Open the article in Knowledge Base → All Articles and click Edit.
  2. In the editor toolbar, click the Image or GIF icon (available only in Premium).
  3. Select/upload your media from the WordPress Media Library.
  4. Insert it into your article.
  5. The Image Lightbox feature will automatically activate for images and GIFs added via these Pro tools.

Adding Videos (Premium)

  1. Place your cursor where you want the video to appear.
  2. Click the Video icon in the toolbar.
  3. Select/upload your video file, support only Self-Hosted.
  4. Adjust size and alignment if needed.

Adding iFrames (Premium)

  1. Click the iFrame icon in the editor toolbar.
  2. Paste the iFrame embed code or source URL.
  3. Set width, height, and responsive options.
  4. Insert into your article.

Troubleshooting — Media Options Not Visible

If you do not see the Image, GIF, Video, or iFrame buttons in your editor toolbar:

  1. Go to Instant Knowledge Base → Settings → Typography and Icons.
  2. Scroll down to Content Editor Tools.
  3. Check Enable Content Editor Tools.
  4. Click Save Changes.

  1. Image with Lightbox: Click to view in fullscreen.
  2. GIF with Lightbox: Looping animations with fullscreen preview.
  3. Video Embed: Play YouTube/Vimeo/self-hosted videos directly in the article.
  4. iFrame: Embed an external form, map, or interactive tool.
